Ben is an AI assistant built into scoped that helps you with carbon accounting questions, standards guidance, and data quality improvement. Ben is available directly inside the platform — click the chat icon in the bottom-right corner to start a conversation.
Ben is available on all plan tiers. Usage may be subject to fair-use limits depending on your plan.

Ben has deep expertise in carbon accounting and sustainability reporting:

Starting a conversation
- Click the chat icon (sparkle) in the bottom-right corner of the app
- Type your question or select one of the suggested prompts
- Ben streams a response in real time
Ben remembers the context of your conversation within a session. You can ask follow-up questions without repeating context.
Suggested prompts
When you open Ben, you'll see quick-start suggestions such as:
- "What are Scope 3 emissions?"
- "How do I improve my data quality?"
- "Help me prepare my GHG report"
- "What emission factors should I use?"
Context awareness
Ben is aware of:
- Your organization name — Responses are personalized
- Your reporting year — Answers reference your current period
- Your plan tier — Ben knows which features are available to you
This means Ben can give practical, relevant answers rather than generic guidance.
Multi-language support
Ben automatically detects and responds in your preferred language. Currently supported:
- English
- German (Deutsch)
If you write in German, Ben responds in German with correct terminology (e.g., Treibhausgasbilanz, Emissionsfaktoren, Klimabilanz).
Conversation management
- New conversation — Click "New conversation" to start fresh
- Session history — Ben maintains context within a session (up to 20 messages)
- Across sessions — Previous conversations are saved and can be continued
Limitations
Ben is designed to be helpful and honest:
- Ben does not invent emission factors or regulatory deadlines
- Ben will say when it's uncertain about something
- Ben redirects off-topic questions appropriately
- Ben provides guidance, not legally binding advice
Always verify critical regulatory information (deadlines, thresholds) against official sources. Ben provides guidance based on its training data and may not reflect the most recent regulatory changes.
